  1. 1st thing a tec 9 is a pos it just looks scary thats it i have seen them in pawn shops for 300 to 500 i wouldnt waste my good cash on it buy a real gun like a h&k usp subcompact in .40

  2. The tec9 is the Bic disposable lighter of handguns. You use up the magazine and throw it away. Not reliable, not accurate, not well made, not ergonomic, not user friendly, they tend to jam seberal times with each magazine.

You really don't want one. If you want a high capacity 9mm pistol, there are much better choices than a tec 9.

  3. The tec-9 is over-priced garbage.  They have a tendancy to jam, are not really worth having a gunsmith work on.  They are cheaply and crudely constructed.    If you haven't seen one up close, don't expect it to fit well together and don't expect a good finish and you shouldn't be too dissapointed.

If you are set on having one, you will have to find a used one, intratec is defunct.  Mainly cause their guns were junk and were mostly bought by aspiring criminals and the like. A local gunstore near me has had 2 of the tec-9's for the longest time but they aren't selling at $499 each.    If you must have one, check online and have it shipped to a local dealer to do the transfer for you. I saw a few on gunbroker.com once, that's probably a place to start.

  4. A Tec-9 is a worthless piece of junk.

Save your money and buy a H-K or a Glock. At least your money won't go completely to waste, as with this 'Gangsta gun'.

  5. I agree with all the answers so far. Tech 9's are c**p. If you are getting one for your collection as an example of a peice of c**p I can understand that. You can probably find one on gunbroker.com.

If you are looking for a weapon to use and have fun with check out the Berrata CX carbines. They are a much better weapon for the same money. If you are looking for a hand gun I would recomend a Glock 17 or 19.

    Good luck

    Kurdis

  6. Tec-9s are not very good quality wise. I had one once, It jammed. All the time. Spend that money on a Glock 17 or something like that, they cost around the same.

  7. These days they run about $400 for a well-used one, and you can find them on gunbroker.com and auctionarms.com.

I occasionally see one in the used section of gun stores, and once in a while in pawn shops.  They are no longer in production, but if you want something similar which is pretty reliable, you may want to take a look at the Feather Industries AT-9.  It is still in production and looks and works like the Tec 9.
