Question:

Tech Savvy People: WHAT DO I DO?

So, normally, I'd call myself pretty tech savvy- but right now, I'm clueless!

I made a video for a project, but it only plays on computers- not tv's, and normally, I'd put the cd in the teacher's laptop and hook it up to the computer, but he already tried, and it doesn't work because the tv is like, ancient.

So, I need to find a way to get this video onto the tv. And its an edited thing, so, its not like I can just hook up the camera to the tv.

  1. you will need and audio/video modultor. that allows for the equipment now to be hooked up into the older tvs

  2. well either buy a projector, or get a dvd hooked up to the t.v and put the dvd in that.

on a sidenote are you sure the cd is readable?

  3. Yes. Hook up you camcorder to the tv's audio and video inputs. Also, you might burn your video on a DVD +R disc. This way it can play on a DVD player. Just make sure the DVD player is not an ancient one or else it won't play.

  4. Hopefully you saved your project. What program are you using. Some programs do not finalize the DVD when you are done. So check your help section in your video editing program. You might have to manually finalize it. I have not had this problem, but someone sent a DVD to my friend and it wouldn't play, I have a DVD recorder attached to a TV in my computer room, and I was able to use that device to finalize her dvd and then it worked.

  5. could you possibly play the video on his laptop ( or computer) and present it to the class that way?

OR you could copy the video onto a dvd. I'm not exactly sure how you would go about doing that, but I'm sure you could easily find out!

    Good luck!!

  6. normally you would just buy an adapter to hook up your dvd player into an older tv, but if there isn't even a jack for that, then I think there is a converter you can buy that transfers dvd onto vhs
