Question:

Technical drawing: symmetrical component?

i´m working on a technical drawing of a symmetrical element. one of my views includes a half section. do i have to represent the whole object, one half as a section, the other as seen externally; or can I just represent the section?

and, if there is no section included in a view, can i just draw half/a quarter of the object? how does it work with the entering of the measures?

i am so confused, if anyone would be willing to help, also per email, that would be great!

  1. For clarity draw one side of symmetry as section and other side as projection. It will be impressing.

you can show only cross-section(the area you hatch) with note but you cant show all dimensions

  2. what are you using for drafting...Autocad?
