Question:

Technical question about making a change in the registry across the network.?

I need to make a change in the registry to edit a key to reflect the correct DNS server on several machines. The original entry needed to be edited from it's old address to the new one. So far, I took the key and imported it by using "connect network registry" This did require considerable overhead. Is there anyway to push out a registry key over a network without going to each and every machine and importing it? This is an XP environment with Server 2003.

Thank you in advance.

  1. Simplest would be to add it to the login script.  Id recommend creating a new login script and then you can assinging to a couple of users at a time by to make sure all works as you want.
