Technically what's the better option as far as usage in Electric Vehicle is concerned, among Battery & Motor ?

Battery - Sealed Lead Acid, 48V 20AH or VRLA 33Ah x 4

Engine - Rear wheel BLDC hub motor or Permanent Magnet BLDC Motor

  1. first, I would use AGM  (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries. under load will perform better. as for motors, I use  permanent magnet.. I just put my EV conversion on the road. I took a motorcycle converted it to electric, I also included a small engine and alternator in frame for anytime anywhere battery charging. The batteries I used are 12v 31 amphr U-1 AGM deep cycle.


  2. Depends on how you use the vehicle of course.

    I prefer:

    Permanent Magnet BLDC Motor

    VRLA 33Ahx4 batteries.

    all decent current batteries have issue at one end of the life cycle or the other. We'll get there, be patient. :)
