I recently got into wakeboarding a lot and I can get up really well and turn and have great balance. Now I want to learn to start jumping the wakes but I keep wiping out pretty bad. Is there a certain technique for jumping wakes? I have my rope connected to a pylon so I know it has nothing to do with the boat pulling me down.

  1. slitly just tilt owards the wake and try to use ur momentum

  2. The mag Wakeboard has a section in it that gives step by step instruction on various techniques used to cut and pop off the wake and the author of the section is Ben Greenwood(he rips). He has a whole series of DVDs called The Book that is awesome. Step By Step instructions on feet, body, and head placement that will get you shredding in no time. Dont speed up and slow down the boat thats stupid and youll hurt your self . You want a consistent speed and someone who knows how to pull good. Dont try to jump off the wake ride up the face of the wake and then pop off the top, you need to keep charging the wake as well dont slow down. Keep tryin youll get it in no time. Good Luck

  3. The boat that is pulling you needs to slow down right before you hit the wake and then speed up as you go off of it.  That way you will get maximum air.  Good Luck and have fun!
