The same here. Keep the tubing from the beer into the secondary below the beer level in the secondary.

Use a cane and siphon made for the purpose of transferring beer. So have tubing long enough to reach the bottom of the fermentor. These can be purchased from your local or on line supplier.

Great info for transferring from carboy to carboy.

Also you would do yourself a favor by adding CO2 to your secondary fermentor. This gas will lay low and push off any air and also kill any bacteria waiting to infect your beer. But to do this it needs to be in the carboy for 20 minutes or more. Just use your CO2 tank and hose with no nozzle or coupling on it. Make sure it is sanitized also. Place it in the fermentor and let run for a minute. This will do your beer good.

If you have them kegs are great as fermentors. They give the advantage of being a closed system. You just use CO2 pressure to "push" or move the beer between vessels.

Everyone else pretty much has it...JUST MAKE SURE YOU SANITIZE THE TUBE!
