Question:

Techniques to wake up in the morning and have an active day?

by  |  earlier

I am young but some call me lazy. I tend to take 1-3 naps a day, but now that school and work are back into my schedule I need to be active for majority of the day. Also in the morning I am really drowsy, but I know that a shower or bath can help this. Is there other things that can wake me up in the morning and get me going? Is there things that can keep me going throughout my day?

Thank You

  1. sleep early and wake up early.

go for jogging early morning and do exercise which will make your body fresh for the day.

  2. Eat breakfast!!! very important...a good breakfast, not McDonalds, like I had today :-D

  3. Man, everyone says I'm lazy too and I'm not! I'm just freakin tired!! I think that some people need more sleep than others.

When I wake up if I take a hot shower I am apt to sit down and fall back asleep! LOL

I suggest springing out of bed like you're happy to do it. That works for me. I hop up and get moving and I move as fast as I can. I try to pretend that I'm pumped up to be awake. I also try to put off eating until I've been awake for about an hour. I try to have a drink, like water or tea or juice, but if I eat a meal I am likely to feel sleepy and sluggish again.

There is nothing wrong with squeezing in a few power naps during the day if you can get away with it, but if it just makes you feel more tired (as it does me) I recommend getting some exercise in during the day. I always have more energy to tackle the late afternoon/evening after a few miles on the treadmill and a cool shower.

    Hope I was helpful!

  4. Get out of bed as soon as you wake up. Don't lie there and fall back to sleep. It makes you even drowsier. Get up shower, bath, have some juice and/or coffee tea Get dressed. By this time you will be awake

and will not want to go back to sleep. If you can take short walks in the fresh air instead of napping. Get up and go to bed at the same time

every day. Once you are in a routine like this you will find you will fall asleep faster and will wake up refreshed and not sleepy.
