Techno help needed..cos its all bose to me?

Question

i was around in out the other night and this guy i met took me to his friends house, his stereo was awesome, i know it was bose but whats the diffence with then they all look the same??

The only thing better than the awesome sound of Bose is the more awesome sound of something better for the same or less money.

The "cube/woofer" idea is dead. The reason is the weakness in the lower midrange and the upper bass. You need a speaker in the 4.5 to 6 inch range to perform that function. Bose cube/woofer arrangements sound great when they are the only thing you are listening to, but in a test room with a better designed speaker system, one that includes an adequate midrange, the Bose speaker systems fall short, regardless of how much they cost.

If quality sound is what you are after, let your ears do some shopping. Find a store that can demo the Bose against other speakers and I'm sure you'll fall in love with something else.

Bose blose, but their marketing is pure genius. For half the price, you can buy a better sounding system from Polk Audio (but the speakers are a bit bigger). For similar size & price, try Gallo Acoustics spheres. They are rated very highly. 'I've never seen a review of Bose Acoustimass (most magazines try to print reviews that are positive-why waste print space telling people something sux?).

The above answers are correct.....bose is pure marketing.....if you want to hear amazing speakers check out Paradigm or B&W speakers. There are others that sound great but I usually recommend those two....Paradigm if you want more bang for your buck and B&W if you have more money to spend.
