Teds Ace seeking the second victory of the season in the Killahan Phanter At Stud 525 Semi-Final at Shelbourne Park
Shelbourne Park will become home for the Killahan Phanter At Stud 525 Semi-Final over 525 yards on Saturday, 24th March. Participating for the €100 are Ballyhill Seles, Off The Richter, Lolos Hope, Bellmore Woody, Kereight Bear and Teds Ace.
Having bagged some important credentials lately is Teds Ace, Skywalker Ace’s three-year-old black son out of b***h Canaska Nun. The lightly raced three-year-old scored second in two races and bagged a victory out of the three starts that he undertook during
the new season.
It was on 17th February that Teds Ace raced his seasonal debut in a 525 yards race which was won by Glamorous Lady who was successful in clocking the distance in 28.92 seconds and put Teds Ace at a disadvantage by a mere half length.
Second attempt of the season yet again had the similar outcome with Teds Ace finishing second against the winner, Mutual Consent, who completed the trip in 28.63 seconds. The winner took charge of the final four lengths.
Teds Ace did get defeated in the first two starts of the season but maintained the consistency in his performance and did not let it dwindle to a threatening ranking.
Through the third start came the long sought out victory that went the rivals’ way during the last two races. On 10th March, Teds Ace reached the other end of the wire in 28.89 seconds after dominating the 525 yards distance. Trailing behind the
winner by three lengths was the runner up, Thongue Hope.
It was after staying winless in five races that Teds Ace finally claimed one.
Last time that Teds Ace won before this one was on 21st July in the Grade A3 Bet With Tote A3 525 Final at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards. The 4/6 favourite of the race timed the track distance in 28.95 seconds and led the field by six lengths.
Following right at the heels of the winner was Shaneboy Dream while parking right next to him was Kilara Max.
How successful will the fourth start of the season leave Teds Ace, will come out in the open soon. He does have the potential of striking his second win of the season through the chance that he is being provided tonight.
