Tee Jing Yi ousts Lim Chiew Sien in Women’s Singles semi-final – Kedah Open 2013
Malaysia’s elite player, Tee Jing Yi, continued her roller-coaster performance and won her Women’s Singles D1 semi-final clash against her lower ranked team-mate Lim Chiew Sien at the 1st leg
of Maybank National Circuit Kedah Open 2013 in Malaysia, on Friday, May 31.
The experienced Tee Jing, who is the second seed in Women’s Singles draw of the tournament, did not show any sign of pressure in the arena and easily sent her opponent packing in a smashing way in just 27 minutes.
Tee Jing was in complete command of rallies from the initial points and she maintained her domination throughout the clash. She did not face any problem in finishing up the match in straight sets with a stunning
21-11 and 21-12 score on the board.
The lower ranked Lim Chiew, on the contrary, could not play positive and attacking badminton, losing her focus early and committing several errors. She went down in a lopsided fashion without even getting close
to her opponent.
Tee Jing delivered extremely well from the starting points of first set as she played with remarkable speed and grabbed the control of the game.
The tempo of the rallies was very fast in starting game and Tee Jing entertained local fans with her incredible skills.
Until the end of first part of first set, the incredible Tee Jing achieved a strong position on score board by setting up a sufficient gap.
After the mid-game interval, Tee Jing stayed focused in the arena and remained successful in keeping a comfortable gap. The positive and attacking play of Tee Jing helped her to bag the first game with a staggering
margin of 21-11.
Lim Chiew was once again in problem in the second game as she faced a cruel treatment from her challenger who was flawless on court. The perfectly executed smashes and net killings kept Tee Jing ahead of her
rival all the way until the end of first half in second game.
In the second part of second game, the incredible Tee Jing continued her comfortable run and easily bagged the second set by a stunning difference of 21-12.
