The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues striker has expressed his satisfaction with his performances during the first-half of the campaign and is keen on scoring more goals.
Schalke have been impressive so far this season in the Bundesliga and are only three points behind leaders Bayern Munich on the standings table. The side has been in great form after a disappointing campaign previously which saw
them finish 14th in the league.
Pukki joined Schalke in the summer last year from Finnish outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/HJK-c39532. Even though the striker has only managed eight league appearances so far, his three goals are a clear indication of his talent. He has won over fans at the
Veltins-Arena since his arrival in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, and gradually grown in confidence.
The striker admitted to his initial difficulties at the club, but credited his bosses for helping him develop with the passage of time. He added that his brace against Hannover is the turning point in his career, and has vowed
to keep up his good work once the season resumes in a week’s time.
While talking to the official club website, the Finland international further mentioned:
“I'm very happy. The fans like me and I like the club. It works. Over the past few weeks I've been getting more and more game time and scored some important goals. At the start it was difficult for me, a change, but since the game
against Hannover and the two goals there, things have been going really well. It's given me a lot of confidence.”
On the other hand, the youngster also revealed his desire to score during a home game. He added that it is always a different feeling to score your first goal in front of the home fans, and is eagerly waiting for that moment to
arrive in his career.
“I've only scored away from home in a Schalke jersey so far. My greatest wish is to score in a home game as soon as possible,” Pukki concluded.
