Teen Love? ?

Okay be serious...

People always tell me things like, "Oh, teen love never lasts...", "Only lasts up to a year or two then the relationship ends...", "It's only puppy love..." c**p like that.

I really would like to disagree with people who say that... I'm 16 now. I've known this girl for two years. I really have a strong feeling for her... I'm assuming it's love... I mean, I always want to be with her, be there for her, I'd protect her, anything... You know, maybe give her a kiss... Things like that. But It's not like I'd know if it's real love. I've never had a girlfriend because I never really wanted one until I met her. People tell me I have so many chances to go out with girls, but I don't want to, I just want to go out with her, not others. We're really good friends... People say she likes me, but I wouldn't know.

What do you think? I say teen love can last all the way through High School into College and so on...

Anyone agree or disagree..?

To say it never lasts wouldn't be accurate, but is it likely?  No.  Extremely unlikely, I would say.  Be careful, and keep your options, and your mind, open.  Especially in high school.

i agree with you that teen love can last. my cousin has been with her man since highschool and they got married. but then again some don't so it's about 50/50.

i'm pretty sure you really really LIKE this girl! you will know when it's love, it will come to you. :] LOVE has many definitions you just have to find yours. like for me, i dated my guy for a month maybe 2 and on the day he asked me out he told me he loved me. it made me REALLY HAPPY! i've never fell in love before, but for some reason i knew that i felt the same way. :] it's almost been a year now, next month! :]

I agree with you to a certain point, Now if she is mature and if you are which you sound like you do then "YES" you all may stay in- love threw high school and college. My husband and I feel in love in high school then we went to different colleges when we graduated we got married so it can work. IF you are MATURE enough. GOOD LUCK! I will be praying for you two

yes it can last. the other people on here say this stuff because they are like 100 years old.it can last and i have seen it done around me before.like my papaw and mamaw have been together since middle school.[no cheating] just go ask her out in person.no friends during it for you.girls like it when you do it in person. =] good luck.

Maybe she's the right one for you but that's strange that you don't know whether she likes you or not.  Maybe she's just trying to be careful by not saying so.

disagree, when your a teenager your hormones are out of control.

once u get into adulthood, your brain works properly andhopefully without any immaturenes.

when you are a teenager your brain isnt fully developed not to mention the hormones.......
