Hello, are there any pilot programs for youths who want to learn to fly. I have a big interest in flying and I want to do some program that teaches me about it. I did a search and it came up with teenpilot.org which is kind of what I want only not in Illinois. I live in Massachusetts so anywhere near me would be fine.

  1. try checking with the young eagles (http://www.youngeagles.org/)

  2. Check with the Civil Air Patrol they have a youth flight training camp though im not sure if there is one in your area

  3. I'm sure you can go to your local airport and learn how to fly, I'm sure you can start flying its just that you cant hold a license. Good luck with your flying.

  4. The Civil Air Patrol is one option, joining in the cadet program. The CAP is a civilian division of the Air Force. Here is a site for the CAP and a site to find a cadet program near you.

    http://www.cap.gov/visitors/quick_info/f...

Also there is the Experimental Aircraft Association or EAA. They have a Young Eagles program and here is their web site.

Just some general information on learning to fly on this web site to find a school near you to contact who may be able to direct you to an organization in your area. Good luck.

  5. I know the Young Eagles http://www.youngeagles.org/ or the CAP http://www.cap.gov/ are a few groups that are for teens. The CAP has a location at the Plymouth Airport in MA (i used to work there)

    Hope this helps!
