Teen Poker Night???

Question

For my party i am going to have a teen poker night. Me and freinds are 13 btw. I will invite about 5 people.

We wont bet with money just chips

Any way what can i have there

(like any ideas)

well you need the basic supplies...chips, cards, dealer button, timer (if it is a tournament)...other than that you are good to go

It would be fun if you could get a whole mini casino setup. Depending on where you live, you can hire companies to do this for you, they set up craps, blackjack, roulette, etc. We did it for high school graduation party, it was so fun. We also were given a certain amount of chips worth a cretain amount of money, and we played with that. At the end of the night, they 'auctioned' off fun prizes that we could 'buy' with the chips we had left. They had stuff for college, I got a stereo. But you could do smaller more affordable prizes. Make sure to get some that arent worth a ton so people who arent so lucky can get something too.

Also of course have a sncack bar, lots of soda, etc. Have fun!

If you just play a regular game you'll probably get bored after a short while.  You want to have a definite winner.  So I suggest having a tournament.  Give everybody an equal number of chips, and play until there's only one person left.  This way you KNOW who's the best!

The easiest game to play is no limit Texas hold'em (like what you see on TV), but you could play no limit 5 card draw or dealer's choice as well.  Texas hold'em is what most people know though, so I'd do that.

Give everybody 1500 in chips.

Have blinds start at 10/20.

Raise the blinds every 20 or 30 minutes.

Make sure you have plenty of pop and chips, and if possible have a TV nearby for people who bust out early.  You can rent the World Poker Tour on DVD from NetFlix, it makes good background for your poker night.
