Teen Room for a boy!!!

Question

Ok well my room is coming up on the families re-do list and i need some help....my room looks like it did from the first time we did it, when we moved in, when i was 5! Now i'm 13 and i need something new. I know that i want a loft bed to provide more space n my room, im also thinking about getting a futon in front of a TV for watching TV and when friends have to spend the night. But as of right now im not sure and im up for anything that is thrown at me. So if you could give me some ideas for inspiration and what not, and some color ideas, and furniture ideas it would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!!!

So I know walmart = cheap stuff.

but there is a great No boundries brown SOFT comforter.

that is a great price, I have had it for about two weeks and I love it.

My entire family wants it, My sister even got it in a another color.

but using that and a blue color wall or green, any color you like.

would look great, and the futon/loft idea sounds great.

I have always wanted one.You could enev put the futon under your bed or a desk are good ideas.

:D I'm re-doing my room too. I'm in the process of finding furniture that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. My room is currently black and blue. Before it was red and black. I reccommend black or white paired up with another color for a color scheme because if you change your mind, it's easy to switch without replacing everything since b&w match all colors. For example: If I'm sick of blue, I could change to purple easily since most of the furniture is black.

* The futon idea is great. You could get another chair too, maybe a moon chair. There's great if you don't have much room 'cause they're easy to fold up, move, and store.

* Entertainment centers are great. You can put your TV, DVD player, and game consoles in one organized place.

* Bookcases are good for books, but also for organizing movies and games.

* I have a shelf that has hooks built onto it so I can hang up my jackets by my door and still make use of a display area.

* I have a table in front of my chairs so I have a place for drinks and snacks when friends come over.

* I have a whiteboard and bulletin board. I forget things easier so the white board is good for a "to-do" list. The bulletin board is awesome for displaying pictures and other things.

* I reccomend vertical storage (like for clothes). It gives you more room.

* Chalkboard paint is cool. XD Not for the whole room, but it'd be fun to draw on.

* pbteen has a ton of nice furniture that also doubles as storage and other interesting bedroom ideas.

Try galvanized steel dry erase tiles, blue, green or black dry erase tiles for a very cool and functional style tile bulletin board!

It depends on your preferences. I love black and white stuff so my room is decorated in black and white along with some gray. Do you like any sports? buy posters and hang them up. Hang up your awards and accomplishments. Buy some comfy chairs for your friends to sit in when they come over. Buy some cool rugs and decorate your walls. just make it you. good luck
