what are some ways to earn extra cash during the summer? any suggestions?

There are many ways to earn cash over the summer.  Having your working papers will make it even easier!

The first place I would recommend would be in the "Looking For Help" section of your local paper.  You will find a lot of Summer time jobs here.  You can also find many jobs where you work once and get paid for the day just for some extra cash.

Depending upon your interests, you can do babysitting, petsitting, lawn mowing, and others.

Also, contact some of your local hotels and motels because bed turning and other housekeeping jobs can be very good in the summer.

Offering services such as housecleaning, gardening, moving - especially targeted at senior citizens. You could also advertise on craigslist.org services such as keeping elderly company or reading to them for a few hours of day. If you have any hobbies or skills, such as photography or playing a sport, you could also advertise your services as a tutor. Just make sure you meet your potential employer with a parent/guardian for the first time and get their ok on the situation.
