  1. That's gotta be just the dumbest question I've ever heard...!

"Well this teen drives like a friggin' IDIOT risking everyone's safety-Do ya think I should let him risk my family's/friends safety too?"

Sounds like the gene pool could use a lil' chlorine on the shallow end...?!

  2. Well you need to suspend his driving rights and you as the parents need to help him get to work, school and whatever else.

He needs to take an additional defensive driving course and if that will not work then the next time he drives will be when he is 18 and on his own.

  3. Trust this clown with human lives!!    Have you lost your mind?

This teen obviously lacks the maturity to drive in a safe and responsible manner.    DO NOT ALLOW THIS TEEN TO DRIVE ANYTHING UNTIL HE/SHE GROWS UP.

  4. Do you live in a right to carry state? and do you have a consealed weapons permit?  i'd trust em then.....lol i hate to ride with my son, always drives too fast, dont matter whos with em.

    just my opinion....

  5. As you say, "...to our knowledge."

Whatever prompts you to say that he is "hooked" on excessive speeds should indicate that he is probably NOT the best choice to trust in carrying friends and family.  That tendency is WHY insurance rates are high for teenage drivers and why automobile fatalities are the LEADING cause of death among young drivers.

Circumstance may force you to trust this teen to drive other people to needed locations, but, you should be aware of the risk involved.  He has blown an engine, and you mentioned "wrecks."  What makes you thing he's outgrown the speed habit?

  6. Here are a few traits that all driver's must have in order to live to be old:

    Judgment

    Discipline

    Experience

All of these qualities take time to accumulate...Many teens seem to think they know everything there is to driving a motor vehicle because they have a license...Or that they are invincible and indestructible because they are young and fearless.

If a driver - regardless of age - shows a tendency to speed resulting in damage to the vehicle, then that driver should not drive - period.

  7. You need to take your speed to the drag strip or other race track. Not only are you putting yourself at risk, your putting everyone else at risk. People that race or excessive speed on the streets should loose their license for 10 yrs and spend 5 behind bars.
