Teen losing weight? Mostly girl question?

Okay so i'm 5'4 and im like aprox. 142 pounds

38 inches around hips

27.5 around waist

i know overweight right?!

anyway i wanna lose like 27 pounds so how long and what do i have to do at the gym and what do I eat?

i want to lose 4 inches around my hips

and about 4 inches from my waist

but i'm like a 34 B in like chest so i dont want to look disproportionate?

ps. no lecture just answers

also i want to lose this in 6 weeks

  1. You could try a movie like hip hop abs at home. Otherwise just go to the gym for like an hour a day. There are diets online, fish and fruits and vegetables are some of the best. Just make sure that 27 pounds is within your safe weight loss range. Your bust will probably lose a little bit of weight too because it is made up of fat cells too. Good Luck...be safe!

    Cut back on eating but don't completly stop eating or don't get sick from eating.. Go healthy... Run and do the bysical.

    And it will take you about a month or two depends how your body is made and how much you exersize.

    If you are a 34 B you will probably go from a b to an a.

    That is actually possible... Just put your mind to it and go.

  3. hey im 16, and i tried losing weight, like iv tried soooo many different things. but THISSSSSS works hey, i lost 9 kilos in about 3 weeks il tell you what i did:

    eat cereals for breakfast, not the artificial c**p, but propper cereal like weetbix or whatever, or a piece of toast with wholmeal bread. for recess, or morning tea have a piece of fruit or like a carrot or something like that, for lunch have a sandwhich with whole meal bread with cheese tomatoe and a bunch of healthy stuff in it. and for dinner, yeah well eat plenty of vegies and one serve of good meat a day for protein. remeber DONT whatver you do eat after 730pm, not good!

    this is what your meant to eat a day like from sppecialists:

    5+ of breads and cereals a day

    4 serves of vegetables a day

    2-3 pieces of fruit a day

    2 milk or milk products a day

    no more than 2 extra things, like a little sweet or something.

    and make sure you do consistent exercise, it makes everything move faster. and also it is SOOO important that you dont try and starve yourself or like stop eating cos it slows down you metabolism, and your body will think your straving yourself and anything you eat it will store as fat, making you put on MORE weight.

  4. Have you tried using a BMI calculator? It can tell you whether you're overweight or not..

    But take it with a pinch of salt - the results can sometimes not be reliable...

    Change the way you eat can easily allow you to lose weight... cut the number of calories you usually consume (take away 500 calories from your diet), for a week and you will lose one pound.. However, you cannot go below 1500 calories because that is just what your body needs to live on. So if you  do exercise you can eat a little bit more calories to give you the energy you need..   5. I'd suggest any kind of exercise machine that works your core if you want a smaller waist. For example I've been using a rowing machine 30 minutes every morning for 2 weeks now and I've already seen results. Go to your gym and ask a trainer or someone what you could use to strengthen your core and get your tummy tighter. I'm sure they'll say theres many things u can do.

    As for eating, you dont have to just go for a full-out diet right away, unless you want to. But otherwise just make small healthier choices throughout the day, you'll end up losing weight a lot faster then you think. For example get a water instead of a pop, or fruit instead of candy for desert, and grilled foods opposed to fried.

    Also make sure you eat breakfast everyday, if you skip you end up really hungry later in the day and binge

  6. its very hard to try to target exactly where you are going to lose your weight. when you go to the gym i would do these following exercises:

    -run (start small.. ease into longer distances .. try to get up to doing about 30 minutes of cardio per day)

        *Running in intervals is also a good way to burn calories. If you find a tredmil that does them automatically u can set it up that way or just speed it up every 2 minutes and then back down and then back up, etc.*

       If running starts to get old and boring, so other cardio instead. mix up your routine! It will actually help you burn more calories if you do something differeent every day.

    -do a lot of squats and lunges to tone your leg muscles and lower body. It works your abs as well.

    - doing some sort of kick boxing class, pilates, or dance can also be a good experience for you to do to work on your waist/hips as well as get in some cardio.

    -get a trainer to workw ith you on weight training to show you what you should be doing and at what level.

    as for what you're eating... cut out all the JUNK. Try to keep your daily calorie intake under 2000. Keep track and when you pull out a candy bar and read the calories, ask yourself "do i REALLY want this THAT bad?" .. its easier than you think! =] you will feel so good about yourself afterwards even if its hard to give it up.

    Also, as for eating goes, try changing your diet to eating 5 small meals throughout the day, instead of 3 large meals. It keeps you less hungry in throughout the day so you wont be craving any snacks or junk food, and it will keep you feeling good all day.

  7. You can't lose 27 lbs in 6 weeks healthily. You might lose it in an unhealthy way, but gain it right back. If you do not start healthily you will continuously yo-yo through different weights. Ask your doctor to help you and to okay a diet plan. Losing inches around your hips is going to be hard. Anyway, eat less and move more. Exercising alone will not help you, you must decrease your intake of food. Portion your foods. By the way, you aren't overweight if you are 5'4." If anything, you only need to lose 10-15 lbs.

  8. You don't sound overweight to me and I think its great you want to get into shape. I suggest lots of fruits and vegetables and only water to drink A good breakfast such as low fat cereal and a little peanut butter for protein. Lean lunch meat on pita bread for lunch and fresh cooked veggies for dinner along with some lean pork or chicken. No potatoes or pasta or white bread. Also you needs 30 mins of aerobic exercise. and do 8 min of sit ups and you are guaranteed to lose weight

  9. you could try to eat healthy but good tasting stuff like fruits, 100 calorie things etc...also only eat when you are hungery, no snacks. eat after you exercise because thats when your muscles use the food to make more muscles. if you do eat snacks healthy snacks, celery is a very good one if you are trying to lose weight, bc its like eating nothing but it makes your stomach think you are, so it makes yoeur stomache work, and burn calories. also fruit and vegies are good.
