So I am 16 and pregnant. My boyfriend is 17. By time time I have the baby I will be 17 and he will be 18. Will he go to jail? I don't think so because he was under 18 at the time of conception. I would like to put him on the birth certificate if possible.

  1. No.  Most states 16 year olds can be with someone up to 19 years.  Just remember to get your high school degree.  try college.  Low end jobs are so miserable

  2. no as long as you don't press charges against him

  3. No and Yes

  4. It is your age at time of conception that would be a potential issue. I doubt they will go to the trouble of prosecuting, but they could if they wished. By the way, your consent doesnt count due to your age.

  5. He won't go to jail - your circumstances don't fall under statutory rape.  And definitely put him on the birth certificate if you want - then you can get child support from him easier - which is very important (always plan ahead).
