how old was your teen when they had their first kid?

how did they tell you?

what did you do?

I was married. I was 18 when i got preggo and 19 when baby was born. My mom wasnt happy at all. SHe thought I would be like her be married for 5 years settle down have all the financies in order before a baby came into the picture. She also wasnt an Army wife and her husband going over seas. It would have never been a good time to have a baby when my husband is over there fighting for our freedom. Im happy i had my baby and my mom came around soon enough and now she is baby crazy.

Okay i am not even close to being a mom but if you were to watch JUNO the movie i am pretty sure you would get an idea...

I was married, and had been for several months, when I became pregnant with my first child.  I was 18 at the time, but would graduate college before the baby was born.  My mom's reaction was a bit lukewarm at first, though she didn't say anything particularly bad.  She had hoped that I'd go to graduate school, thought waiting for a few years would be better, etc.  It wasn't the decision she'd have made (stopping bc), but she accepted that it was our decision to make.
