Teen room ideas?????

Question

im 14 and i have no idea what to do with my room!

i pretty much like all colors

i love black and white pictures

i love fashion

im girly but also sporty

help???

I would choose a color to paint your wall-go to Wal Mart or Home Depot and get color sample cards.  Perhaps hot pink-bright, girly but not TOO girly like light pink is.

Then, I would purchase black and white photo frames.  Have your favorite photos printed in black and white, and you can also get black and white prints of places, famous people, etc.  Later, you could perhaps get some of the photos enhanced so that they are in black and white, but say a head band or t shirt or flower remains hot pink-to compliment the walls.  If you want to use ribbon to hang them on the wall, you could use white ribbon for the black frames and black ribbon for the white frames, or you could use colored ribbon with pink polka dots...etc.

For the curtains and bed, I would go with something a little calmer...perhaps a black and white print.  You could throw hot pink pillows on the bed to bring it together.

You could get a waterfall for your room (the little electric ones)-the sound is very calming.  Choose scented candles-lavendar is a calming scent.  There are also faux candles you could choose, adn just use a lavendar scented deodorizer.  Ask your dad if he could install a dimmer switch-it would be calming to have lower light when you are resting, and brighter when you are reading (it is not that hard or expensive to install, either).  Another option would be a sound machine-you can choose rainfall, waves, birds chirping, etc.  Most of these items are available at stores like Wal Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc.

To make it a little less girly, you could also go with modern black and white decorations-black cubes for storage, etc.

if you love black and white pics why not decorate you room like a old fashioned movie stars dressing room you could have a big mirro with lights a star on the door and black and white picss of maralyn monroe

Omg, you're like my twin!!

Okay, I taped pictures of everything I like onto my naked walls, and now my wallpaper is personalized with all the things I like. Use things from magazines and things like that. Also, Buddha decor is really in these days, and I got myself a Buddha candle burner.

Or, if you really want a central black and white thing, get it painted onto your wall like a mural. It looks really cool if you paint two walls one color, and coordinate the other two walls a different color. put the half-colored room and the black and white mural together, and your room will look really cool.

Ah . a fourteen year old wanting to decoratate her room. I have had 3 14 year old girls. you must decorate your room in bright colours, and bring the epitaphs you want to admire out in silhouettte, of course with an overhead light. This in itself can give you the candelite effect you desire. On the other wall, to counter -act the love and desire, have pictures of racing driving hero' s  is is a wonderful balance
