  1. When I was 16 I applied to 13 places before I ever got hired.  The best thing to do is ask your friends to ask their bosses.  Now-a-days it's who you know that gets you a job.

But if you've put in an application and haven't heard from them in two weeks, give them a call!  Tell them you're still interested and ask if they have any open positions!

Make sure you're applying to jobs you qualify for.  Probably one of the best jobs I had at 16 was a hostess job for an upscale restaurant.  Just learn to be a bit assertive, don't be afraid to talk to the owners or supervisors to ask about positions and what you need to do.

Good luck- I know job hunting SUCKS.  :(

  2. I can relate to your frustration in not finding a job, or much less not getting a call back.  I just read an article that Hidden Villa is hiring staff for summer camp, so if that sounds interesting you can check it out here:  http://teenmoneymakingideas.com/hidden-v...    Or if you’re interested in working outdoors this summer, you can find some great information here:  http://teenmoneymakingideas.com/working-...

I’d also suggest that you visit: http://onlinesummerjobs.com/  You can search for student summer jobs, state park jobs and summer camp jobs.  There’s thousands of listings, but you can narrow down your search results by searching for specific job titles ad locations.  So you might just be able to find your perfect summer job in Pasadena. Hope that helps!
