Question:

Teen truble sleeping?

i think too much

i am fourteen

lately i have going to bed at about 9am,

and waking up at 3:30pm.

i am trying to get back on track,

but i cant sleep;

please help me

  1. one major issue i found was if i ate dinner just before sleeping

    - or in your case eating breakfast just before eating - if u sleep at 9am!

    so, dont eat a big meal

    for like, 3 hours before you go to bed

    also, get yourself really comfortable in bed, and read, or watch tv or play on your laptop. you will start to feel tired and then you will fall asleep quickly!  - thats if u need help to fall asleep

    i take it you are trying to get on track - as in sleeping at night? and waking up in the morning?

    so if you are waking up during the night, it might be because you are cold - my blakets always fall off in the night and i wake up coz im freezing my butt off

    or it could be because you are hot

    otherwise, give your body clock some time to addjust - its not used to sleeping when you are trying to make it sleep

  2. hey annabelle,

    I used to have that problem a month ago  (i'm 15 btw) and i asked the school nurse she just said that it is because your body wasn't physically tired so you could try any form of exercises b4 bed even if it is just push ups but apparently jogging is the best.

  3. i think its better that u start doing YOGA.all ur probleems will be solved.u will have aa peace andd a calm mind.this is from my personal experience.

  4. You sleep early, why so early?

    Do you have a job or something?

    Do you watch  movies all night, on the computer all night?

    Well if that is the case maybe you should put a time limit on it.

    If you know of anything that can make you go to sleep fast, try that!  

  5. you are not alone, i am 16 and i cant sleep for long either..

    my back hurts a little,.....but ever since i changed my bed...and got some advice from others , i am alright now

    1: make sure your hands and feet are warm, caz if not you wont get deep sleep (trust me, if you are warm, you will get a good night sleep)

    2: drink warm milk before going to bed

    3: glass of water?

    you are only 14, i was like you when i was young, leave the thinking and just have fun with life, and you will have to do alot of thinking 3 years later.....
