  1. 1.  All print media want people who can at least spell basic words and abbreviations in common use, such as major, know, and etc.

    2.  You should at least spell the name of the magazine correctly on the application:  Teen Vogue.

    Edit

RStylist, I see that you disapprove of my response.  I have examined it again and decided to leave it as is.  Here's why.

First, I freely admit I know nothing at all about the fashion industry.  From an outsider's viewpoint, however, one thing it does seem to emphasize is that packaging and presentation matter.  Second, I do know a little something about print media, and I have never known an editor or human resources manager who would have responded in any kindlier manner if they responded at all to the above request.  They are busy people, and most would simply delete without reply a request that so clearly demonstrated such a complete lack of care and effort on the part of the sender.

Obviously I am not so busy, or I'd be off doing other things, so perhaps I shouldn't have taken such a tart tone.  Still, even though she shot her epistolary arrow into the air to land she knew not where instead of directing it specifically to Teen Vogue's HR department, she wanted others to devote time and thought to her benefit when she herself didn't bother to demonstrate any.  I really can't regret my response.  Unkind or not, it was earned.

  2. Just learn all you can about the fashion industry.  Read all the fashion magazines.  Go to school major in Fashion or Journalism if you want to be a fashion writer.  This industry is no JOKE!  It is all about who you know.

As far as interning  you have to be a college student.  If not don't bother.  Go to Vogue.com and scroll down until you see careers.  Click and you'll see ALL the information you'll need about interning :)
