I'm moving to Dubai in a couple of months and am really confused as to how life will be - i know it will be different to Manchester but i'm sooo curious.

I'm 15 and am looking for advice and information;

1. what are schools like

2. what are the people like, are they b*****s like most of the girls in uk?

3. does home and away air in dubai?

4. what is there to do in the country?

5. how hard is it to make new friends?

6. isn't it unbearably hot?

7. how strict are the sheikhs and are they anything to be scared of?

i don't really have anymore - i probably do, just can't think it up.

Please answer some if not all - it's really getting me restless,

Thank You ( :

  1. Why are you moving there?? Americans are hated there--oh they like your money, and milking the Americans of money for oil. I wouldn't feel safe there if I were you. What about the safety of your children?

  2. uh ALD, she said she's from manchester. I'm gessing manchester england. and its totally not unsafe or nething.

im a teen here, the schools vary.

some of them are really huge and nice, others are a bit smaller. i think the teenagers here are pretty nice, and there's a lot of british teens so i think you wouldn't have a problem fitting in.

um never heard of that show, sorry.

dubai has so many things to do, their malls are amazing, there's wild wadi water park is really cool, they have GORGEOUS hotels that u can eat dinner in, they have clubs, they have sports. its good. im gessing it will probably be as fun or more fun than manchester.

it gets really hot, yes in the summer. during the winter months it has perfect weather though.

um dont wear very revealing clothes because its a muslim country, they wont stop you. but they wont be happy with what your wearing either.

haha well good luck. its fun, trust me

  3. ive lived in dubai for 7 years & im 15. moving back to nz as i feel as though my teenage life is being wasted here.

    1. the schools are really good actually. they push you pretty hard though but it all pays off. they lack normal school things though like formals/proms, socials. but dont worry about that cause there are always heaps of parties out of school.

    2. haha sorry but yup girls are pretty bitchy here. but i wouldnt say overly bitchy cause everywhere you go in the world there are going to be losers who think they are better than everyone else. best thing is too avoid them, there are plenty of friendly people. dubai is so multi-cultural, i think i have about 11 different nationalities in my class of 20. majority being british.

    3. OHMAIGAWD! i love home and away. but nah it doesnt i watch it on youtube cause people put the lastest episodes up everyday so you will still be able to watch it. give me a holla if you cant find the eps you want.

    4. shopping, indoor skiing, dune bashing, parties, more shopping, going to parks (although they are c**p), more parties, movies, hanging out at mall, theme parks, water parks, hotel beaches. it really depends what your into, i hate shopping so i get pretty bored sometimes but if you like it, your in heaven :)

    5. you make new mates instanly, we are all use to people coming & going so you will probs make friends pretty fast.

    6. oh god. its about 48 degrees right now, i cant even go outside but around christmas it is soo nice. about 25 degrees. most people escape for the summer as it is in the 2 month holiday.

    7. haha dont worry about them. NOTHING to be scared of. except be careful of some of the creepy guys. i have srsly lost count of how many have asked to marry me. best thing is too hang out in groups and ignore them.

if you have any more questions, just ask. what month are you coming to dubai? oh and do you know what school you might go to?

hope this helps, i might even meet you when you come :)

    xx
