hi, i'm a 16 year old girl whose about 10 pounds overweight.

I would like to lose 10 pounds in a month or two..and i was wondering if anyone had any specific diets that i could go on that would help me?

my excercise routine:

my highschool is an outdoor campus..and i only have 3 minutes in between classes..

So i powerwalk for about 30 minutes everyday..plus i lift light weights and go on my stair stepper machine. I also have an excercise ball that i do crunches on.

i don't have access to a gym..

Does anyone have a diet that i can go on ?[keep in mind that i don't eat meat.]

Does anyone have any excercise tips?

  1. well...

you can do the Daniel's fast.

that would be perfect since you don't eat meat.  but you must be religious about it.  but since you're a vegetarian you'll be good. and instead of only power walking, you should jog for however long you can, power walk until you are a bit rested then continue with jogging again and continue the pattern.

also.... if you chew gum it sends a chemical to your stomach saying that its full. thats what happens when you eat regulary.

  2. just make better choices when eating.

opt for water instead of soft drink or chocolate milk.

eat fruit instead of junk food

    good luck

    xx

  3. Just eat less if you can and still be full. Don't eat any sweets or soda or anything and jog 1-2 miles a day.

i lost 30 pounds in less than a year doing that. ;)

  4. drink alot of cold water i heard that helps you burn off energy

  5. try calorie shifting, it worked for me. eat about four or five small meals a day, differant calorie amounts at differant times each day. drink LOTS of ICE COLD water.

  6. if u really do a lot of cardio u don't need any diets

  7. Ok, be sure that you really are overweight. Don't try to make yourself super skinny (you'll face really bad health problems once you're older). If you want to lose weight, you'll have to do immense cardiovascular activities. Powerwalking for 30 minutes isn't really a cardiovascular workout. Run or jog for 30 minutes instead of powerwalking. If your knees hurt, then go and do a stairstep workout with REAL stairs. Your stairstep machine doesn't really recreate the proper resistance of real stairs. Since you are a vegetarian, there really isn't a diet suggestion for you. Simply do cardio workouts or strength building workouts (pushups, crunches, etc.)

  8. at night find a couch and put your feet over the back side of it then proceed to do full range crunches about 200-300 will do. Then use an elevated table to do iron crosses [ basically lie down on the table with only your legs on the table and the rest of your body hanging off including your butt] then have one of your parents sit on your legs while you try to hold yourself up for a minute. This workout should be done everyday to work. Your diet should be mostly consisted of rice, tomatoes, bean curd, carrots, and any other vegtable that contains omega fatty acids.
