Teenagers, do u have any rules? ?

Im 14, and im allowed to do whatever i want, when i want, my parents dont care where i am, and what i do, it doesnt bother them coz their too busy with their own lifes (drinking, smoking etc....), whereas all my mates have to be in by a certain time, and their parents have to know where their going

Does everyone else have rules? And what sort of rules?

I'm 15,

but I don't live with my parents, I live with my sister, in the US,

but she lets me do anything, but I have to just tell her what I am doing and when I will go home. But I can drink if they want and smoke, but I choose not to.

My only rule as a teenager was "don't be a fuckwit". As long as I followed this rule I could do what I wanted, when I wanted, in whatever country I wanted. If I broke that rule though, I'm sure there'd be a pretty hefty punishment. I came close to the fuckwit line a couple of times and my parents let me know exactly how they felt about it; I'd never want to go over it.

I'm 15, don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs. I can do whatever I want to do. My dad passed away, but my mom and stepdad definitely care about me, they are just not strict at all.

I have my own laptop and iPhone, which I can use when I want, throughout the year.

I am mature for my age and don't take advantage of my situation. I have 5 younger siblings so they need more attention then I do. I can take care of myself and my mom knows that.

this is the way my house works.......

I have to go to school.

I have to get my homework done.

once i do my homework i can go where ever nd do what ever with who ever i want!!! and they wont even ask once i'm in school the next day!

like weekends if i can get my homework done for monday i can do what i want!

so there not the worse but there really in to school! lol!!! I like the way mt house worhs tho! do you??

Surely you must have A rule, even just one? How about bathing, you do bathe don't you? Well then, you have a rule. My parents are and always have been pretty laid back, but we still do have rules. ♥

No rules for me. I pretty much do whatever i want. My parents just trust me. I have alot of brothers so my parents are busy with them. But i let them know where i am and what im doing though...

Personally I think most of you guys are lucky Im 17 and My aunt has to kno where I am at all times she wont let me get my permit to drive she barely wants me working and my curfew is pretty much 7:30 8:30 if im lucky I WISH my curfew was anywhere close to 11 at least 9:30

Everyone has rules. Well, everyone should. So yes I have rules.

I had a friend who was like that. And honey, please do not take advantage of it. I will spare you the gruesome details but she did not end up well.

im the same age as you. my parents have rules for me, and i am so glad that they do it shows that they <3 me. i can't date 'till i'm 16. can't go out without telling my parents where i am going, and a trusted adult has to be somewhere close. an example is if im going to a theme park they have to  be in the theme park somewhere. but not wataching me. it may seem harsh or stupid for some teens but i know why they do it, and i'll get more freedom as i get older.

wow ur lucky...and rare. I'm 13 and I have tons of rules. I have tons of chores, my curfew is at 9:30 pm, I can't go on dates un less it's double dating, I can't have more than one designer thing, I have to be sleeping by 1:00 am, I can't babysit un less its for some one we know or anyone we know knows, I don't get an aloence, I can watch R rated movies just as long as there's not to much s*x or nudity, I have to brush my teeth for exactly 3 minuts, I have to brush my hair at least 70 times, my friends can only come over if my floor is cleaned, if I mis- behave big time I'm grounded from either the TV or comuter or phone for three days, I can't go shopping by myself, I have to get at least a C in school (which I usually get-C's. lol), I have to babysit my 8 year old sister almost every day, and more. That's what normal 13 year old girls do. Well I think so. lol. I usually don't follow all of those rules. I'm not a googy googy or anything.

You sound like you need a attentive mum and Dad.

Do you have a mentor, someone you know who is an adult to talk to ..You may want them to help you talk to your parents.  

Obviously you are pretty self sufficient and that can fool a parent in to thinking you do well without guidance.  Not so.  

Tell them you want some rules.  bed times, school work checks, chores around the house.  They will be pleased and I think you will find they have missed you as much as you miss them.

im 16, have to be home by 11 when i go out or later letting my rents know where i am and when ill be home. cell phone during school year is limited, same with laptop.

I'm the same way my mother trust me enough to let me do what i please....... plus I'm 16 in high school i work and got my own car even though it's in my mother name i pay my own car insurance and car note but i still set myself a time to come in the house on school dats i come in at 11 and weekends i come in at 12 or 12 30 sometimes spend the night out at my best friend erica house or my cousin house

Not too many. I don't go out much because my friends live far away so even if we go somewhere I/they stay overnight...

I'm rather responssible, good at school and can take care of myself (5 years of abuse and bulling, no mother <- thanks God she's back...)

I have a cell phone, but I don't use it too much... 1 or 2 texts per month :/ and my dad calls me sometimes.

Woah, I hope you are careful outthere and aren't abusing your 'freedom'. Take care of yourself hun, and don't spoil the future for yourself whatever the situation, ok? :)
