Teenagers are you embarrassed of your generation?

Question

This question is not meant to offend anybody, I am interested to know what people think. If they think we are going backwards or forwards as a society.

I am a teenager myself and while I am not ashamed of my generation I think that there are some people who really are making the rest of us look like selfish idiots who seem to no conscience or empathy what so ever.

You thoughts?.

I'm very ashamed of my generation. Sure there are a few intelligent, noteworthy individuals, but the vast majority of my generation are complete idiots. It's usually the little things that I observe that make me ashamed. Like posers who try and act ganster and cool or the many girls who pride themselves on being complete whores. But it's not just that it's the general thoughts of some of the people my age. It's those who have literally nothing to offer the world, those whose only ambition is to be the best Victoria's Secret model. I guess the general stupidity and ignorance of my generation is what makes me the most ashamed. Those who perpetuate the stereotypes of ditzy girls and arrogant jocks, shame me and p**s me off. It makes me want to apologize to everyone, everytime I see one of my fellow teenagers being a complete idiot. I hate my generation.

Yes! though are generation is the result of the movements of the 60's and 70's which made society more liberal and loose. Young people have no moral fiber in them,they don't know respect, and they have to pick on everbody who's different--without taking into cosideration that person's feelings first--which can result in that persons sucide.

Sometimes! im 17 and dont like the way other girls dress,the way other teens my age treat other kids that arnt like them.etc

yeah I am 21....same generation...I mean people are more loserlike by the minute. Nowadays people can cheat on the net or texting on a cell phone...and c**p...plus so many people have colored contacts,plastic surgery,fake b***s. so many people are so much lazier now. I mean when i was like 10 we were outside all the time. I don't really so that anymnore. So this will just lead to more depression.......bored with their lives and weigh...which will lead to more eatting disorders. i mean they didn't have all this crazy addicitng video games when i was reallu really little. I think we are all screwed if we don't change things.

Im 17, and I think although there are many intellegent people form our generation, there is an even larger number of idiots who really do make our generation look bad, most teens today have been affected by society telling our parents to not diciplin their children. Well parents didn't diciplin, and the children ran wild. Now those children are teenagers and "invinsible" with no respect, and no manners.

I don't count myself in when it comes to the idiots.  Every teenager has gotten in trouble in every generation.  I just ignore it and show adults I have the right to be who I am who is someone that doesn't get caught up in what others are doing.

you name me one generation in HISTORY where those 13-19 year olds didn't make bad, embarassing decisions.
