  1. Many reasons can influence the participation of a teen in gangs.  Lack of money wouldnt be the most signifcant reason.  Some teens lack moral support from their parents; they feel like they lack a family. As a result, they go out to the streats seeking for that one thing they lack.  Others, just want to be part of something to feel like they "fit it."  As for the stabbing and killing, they are all components of being in a gang.  Doing these crimes, makes them feel as if they have power, the more they do, the more ambition they gain.  They don't realize they are only becoming weaker people..
