(sorry in advance 4 the repost, still need advice..)

Parents: state your kids ages, and teens, state yours.

K so I'm 17 and my sis Meghan is 14.

She's a great kid, but she's pretty much become a spoiled brat recently because the cool girls in her grade suddenly think she's cool.

So I go up to her room, and notice that she has WAY more clothes than the week before, and I was like "hmmm" cuz her allowance is like 15 per weekish?

So I ask how she got the clothes, and she said SHE STOLE MY DAD'S CREDIT CARD, and put 731 dollars on it at the mall with her friend, thinking she was too spoiled to get caught. (brat, i know)

Meanwhile, I REALIZE, the bill is gonna come next week. My dad is super nice and fair, but for something THIS major? He's prolly gonna give her a grounding/ a spanking/ and make her return it ALL.

Parents: If your older sis knew, would you expect her to tell u?

Teens: What would your dad do, and would u hate her sis 4

rattin?

  1. im 19 and i say dont say anything and let it all hit the fan once they get the bill. if the bill comes and nothing happens then say something but dont rat her out just let her wait and see if she gets in trouble. the wait may be more stressful for her than the punishment

  2. k, im 15

and you should definetly tell your parents, your sister is a spoiled brat, tell your parents no questions asked

  3. wow your sis is s**y....she deserves a kiss

  4. your not telling may come with some cosequenses you are not awere of it may come in the lack of food or rent money and could be very helpful to your parents to know now.money unacounted for can lead to more money for your parents to have to pay back on credit card.700 could lead to thousands

  5. I'm 16 and have two older sisters. I would rat that litte miss "i'm cool so i need clothes" out. She needs to be stopped because if someone found out it was stolen and not given to her she would get in deep deeep deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep trouble. My dad would kill her. (literally)

  6. young lady this is a very hard situation to deal with even for and adult in your shoes

yes i am a father of three girls 14,8,and 7.

my suggestion is this... ask your self what is the right and moral thing to do?

i think you will realise that its not that your tattleing but you possess vital information that your parents or anyone who has been stolen from would like to know before a bomb is dropped on them. also, in this case your loyalty should be to your parents, if I found out in this situation that my older daughter knew but didnt inform me that this had happend Iwould be very disapointed and Question weather I did a good job in raising her.

this will also give your father some time to think about the situation before doing something rash that he may regret.

we all make mistakes, all choices come with concecuences some good some bad but concecuences just the same.

Or you could give your sister the opportunity to confess what she did on her own. this will have to come with a time limit so you can do what you need to, in order to clear your concence of any wrong feelings.
