  1. not really

  2. I do think voting is important, but I am not informed on any political issues.

even though I should be, because I'll be able to vote this election!

  3. No.  I really don't care.  Obama's hot though.  I thought he was like 20 something and I just found out that he's 49...whoa!!

  4. I definitely do watch the news about politics, read the newspaper, etc. I know that my opinion doesn't count right now, but eventually it will so I do follow the election and care about politics because I am still living in America and it's important to know who your leader is.

  5. The Colbert Report is the extent of my political opinions...Yes, I do somewhat care of who will ruin our nation next. It all affects me in the end anyways. I'm 13, if that matters at all.

  6. I kind of do. Im not all into it but i do care.

  7. I honestly do not think voting is important. I have other things to worry about other than voting. NO, I am not informed about the issues we are facing today. I know a little bit, like the food crisis, gas etc!

I do watch the news everyday, I seem to zone out when politics come on. I do want Barack Obama president though!

  8. Personally, I enjoy politics but I don't get too involved because I have a lot of theroys about our "government" Unless you are 18, you can't vote. That is why most teens are uninformed about the issues our country is dealing with.

  9. nopeeeeeee.

    doesn't matter to me....

  10. nope

  11. Voting isn't important, the "SUPA d**a DELIGATEZ!!!" will just vote for the Republican, thus confirming our ****ed up system.

  12. I'm 13 and i think it's important to vote and yes i am informed about political issues we are facing and i do watch the news.

  13. My SD who is 14 doesn't understand politics and says she doesn't care because she's not old enough to vote. I was watching the Democratic Convention and she told me that she didn't understand anything that was being said. Her interests are herself. She's had to grow up so fast that I think she's immature. She's caught in the middle. Her mom is the typical ditsy blond. She's just clueless and into her friends and partying ways. It's pretty pathetic for a 36-37 year old that is a mother first.

When I was a teen, I was interested in politics because my dad was very interested. I didn't always understand what was going on but I did my best to ask questions and stay informed. Politics was discussed and debated among different family members. I had exposure to different perspectives on issues. I never had just one way of thinking. I am forever grateful for that. My friends had some interest too so we would talk about different things as well.

  14. Yeah, I really do. I have cared since a very young age, probably since I was about 12 or 13. I'm SO mad that I miss voting in this upcoming election by literally a week.

I watch the news and I'm majoring in Law in school (I'm in a special HS).

I would consider myself very informed.

  15. yess wicked i think it is very important for teens to try to get involved or at least be informed because weather we like it or not we are the future and there's nothing we can do to freeze time so all these problems that people are creating we are going to have to fix them and if we dont no what polititians are doing now we are never gieng to be able to fix them

  16. Yes, especially now. We need someone to fix all these freakin problems we have.

  17. i am, i find it so interesting, witnessing part of history!

ha ha but not to many ppl my age feel that way!

  18. I am seventeen, and I am a total civic nerd. I love politics, and I feel that as a citizen it is my duty to be informed and stand up for what I believe.

I think that voting is important, but there are also other ways to put forth your political concerns (write letters to your reps, protests, civil disobedience).

I am informed in regard to today's political issues, but I cannot say that I take interest in all of them. I am passionate about domestic issues, such as privacy, oil, and my rights. However, our foreign "diplomacy" for lack of a better word, is of little interest to me. I am aware of the situations in Iraq, Iran, and Georgia. I just don't think Americanization is a parallel for globalization.

I don't watch the news, but I read the newspaper daily.
