  1. Violence is NEVER justified. If I was looking at this  on any "social networking "site, then I would report it as soon as I saw it, as it contravenes their policy on acceptable behaviour. There is also a legal aspect to this, so I would also report it to the police. Also, if I was in charge of a site such as Youotube and was given something like this to screen, then I would refuse, even if it led to me being called names by the people concerned, as such films should have no place on sites like this.

I believe that sites such as Youtube have a duty of care to screen ALL posts and filter out any that could be controversial or offensive. if they don't fulfil their obligations, then they should be closed down.

  2. Even though I'm all for freedom of speech, and freedoms in general, no website should be allowed to post crimes being committed.  We don't allow child pornography, so why should we allow assault or attempted murder?  That film of the girl getting beat up was very disturbing.  It shows how the girls who committed that crime had no conscience and no empathy while they were doing it.  Those girls need to be tried as adults for attempted murder, and put away for most of their lives.  How could they ever be trusted to be members of our society again?

  3. I think we should give harsher punishments for the parents who willingly let their children run amuk. We should give them a hefty fine or have them spend a night in jail. That would teach them to watch their children more carefully from now on.

  4. In the 70's psychologist discovered definitavely that violence on tv promotes aggression in people in general, so what did we do as a society.........? created violent video games, plastered our television with more violent content, but the sad thing is our country cares more about foriegn affairs and the people in africa to stop the problems in this country and it has gotten so far out of hand, the only way to even begin to fix the problem now would be to fight fire with fire, no more rights for the wickid. Take these 8 little b******s and execute,

them, televise it and let all the other little b******s out there know this is the new punishment for violent crime..................

.....................is anybody listening or are you all watching angelina, brad and oprah rescue africa.

One more thing, there was a very brave navy seal who threw himself on a grenade to save his buddies, isn't it a shame our country doesn't love us as much as he did.

  5. youtube should report it first and refuse to air it that is always the way to handle those that seek the public eye you don't give them a forum and they get gone

  6. It certainly raises more questions...

What were those girls thinking?  Did they really think that filming it would be cool?

Why did they beat her up so badly and expect her not to tell?  They should have known her parents would have to get involved.

Did they ever consider murdering her and hiding the body?

Will those girls be tried as adults? or as minors and get off?

I don't think we've heard the end of this story.

  7. Possibly all new down loads should go through a screening process, although that would take a lot of staff, and youtube might end up no longer a free service it that happened.

At the moment they rely on viewers to raise the alarm. Maybe they should have an automatic block as soon as it's flagged so they can check it.

  8. Well I am a teenager && I woulda fought backk..personally.. but anyway . That was sooooo messed up but I dont think youtube should get in trouble. I think the ones who posted it or the people who watched it and commented should get in trouble for not reporting itt!!!

  9. The more I hear about teenagers of today the happier I am that I am no longer one.

Why are so many of them so f*cked up?

    Sorry no answers. Just disbelief.

p.s. I know that there are loads of teens who aren't f*cked up so don't take this personally.
