I think people who disbelieve in God because someone close to them passed away need to think of life differently. One of my best friends died at 15 years old, just a couple months ago. This poem was on her funeral card..

"God's Flower Garden"

Sometimes we can't quite understand

Our Great creator's way.

When He takes a life so young

And leaves one withered, old and gray.

Whose life work seems finished,

Perhaps is waiting for the call.

While that life so young and tender

Held so much her for us all.

Then somestimes I get to thinking,

Perhaps this world down her below,

Is just a flower garden,

Where God's flowers live and grow.

And perhaps when God is lonely,

Like us, He loves to roam

In His garden gathering flowers

Just to beautify His home.

Tho' He takes the full-bloom flowers,

Drooped and withered that need his care.

Still he needs a bud or blossom,

To scatter with them, here and there.

So He takes a few choice blossoms,

  1. Im 20 but i did beleive in God and i always will.

  2. Yes, I am a teenager and i always remember to say my prayers and follow the word of god. I don't understand how people make it through their teen years without faith in him. I need him and i strongly believe in him.

  3. It kinda changes

Like sometimes I believe in God, like the whole "Angels and Heaven" sort of thing

But then sometimes I don't, like how one guy can create the whole world and everything in it in 7 days. I have a really hard time believing that. I find the Darwin theory way more likely.

    So its a 50/50 split. I can't say that I fully do, but I can't say I fully don't.

  4. I'm sorry about your friend.

I don't believe in God at all.  I've never believed in God, and I've never gone to church.

  5. Yes I do.

  6. Yup and proud of it! I get where those people are coming from though. Sometimes you wonder how God could do things to you, but in the long run, you find out it was for the best

  7. of course.  i would NOTTT be where i am right now if it was not for Him. literallyyyy, you have no idea.  Please, if there is anyonee who doesn't believe in God or is confused if He is real or not....PLEEASE, talk to me. i'm not just saying there is a God because i want something to believe in.... I'm saying this because God is God, and He's done the most AMAZING miracles in my family.

  8. noooope

    but im catholic..

    that wasnt my choice though

  9. i dont know.

i used to, but now i am questioning it so i cant say yes or no for now

  10. Completely.

    With my whole heart.

  11. No.

People are allowed to believe what they choose to. I don't criticize or judge, just as I prefer if nobody would do that to me. I haven't really ever believed in god its just not something i ever really put my faith in.

  12. honestly?no.When I was younger i was FORCED into christianity by my parents and they even made me go into a christian home schooling.I can't stand it.How can I love God(if there even is one)if I am forced into believing him?I can't...how come most christians or ppl like that I know are racist yet God loves everybody..black..white...hispanic?How is that possible? No I don't believe in God...bottom line.

  13. I definetley believe in God.

He is always there so you can talk to him if you need him.

If I feel like no one loves me I can always remember that God will always love me.

My favorite passage is John 7:24

  14. yeah. i dont know any bible quotes and i attended church playgroup as a child but i dont pray or anythin, i celebrate xmas and easter and my mom went to a catholic school

  15. I do. I also believe in Jesus. I am a Christian but i do not like to affiliate myself with any sect

  16. I believe in God. I know in my heart that he's there... I'm just not sure if he really knows that I'M here... you know? Like, I used to pray a lot, and pour out my heart to him because I was going through a really hard time (who hasn't), but months passed and nothing really happened. I just started feeling worse. So, I guess it's just a classic case of angst teen feeling bitter towards life and blaming God on all her problems. Since then... I've tried to reach out to God again, because I know he's still there, but idk... it's not easy. Anyway, to answer you question, yes, i still believe he exists.

  17. Kinda.

    The bible is a BOOK.

    PEOPLE wrote it.

We can't really tell if it's true or not.

Therefore, I'm kinda swinging on whether to believe or not.

I mean, it could be that people made it up to feel a sense of security.

    And besides;;

Some of Christianity's roots can be traced to Egyptian mythology.

  18. yes

i want to meet him some day...i'm serious

  19. Yes I do.

  20. Yes I do. But there was a point when I didn't know if he believed in me or not because everything was going wrong and I was like "How can he let this happen to me" and I didn't believe he was there anymore, and my faith shrunk to a mere string hanging in the ballots. But it's over now.

  21. No, I don't, but my whole family does, and they try to push me into it. I stopped believing when my cousin died in a car accident. If god was real he wouldn't have let it happen.

  22. I don't know how much i believe in him as much as i believe that there is something beyond life(heaven/h**l)

If god created earth and told people to do this and that and thats how people came to earth, i can't believe that because in school we learn about how earth was formed and we were created.

basically i dont believe in god,  with all of the different religions out there it is fine to have your own beliefs but believing in god isn't one of mine.

  23. No.

I don't criticize others beliefs and I'm perfectly fine with them.

I think learning about religions is interesting, and I'm glad that other people have beliefs that make them happy.

I respect other peoples beliefs, though I find it silly when others give me a thumbs down just because our beliefs differ.

Please don't give me a thumbs down just because I don't follow a religion...

I give everyone a thumbs up, so long as their answer is honest and respectful, whether they follow a religion or not.

Oh, and I don't rule out the possibility of there being something after we die, I just don't believe there is anything.

I just find it sad and disappointing that so many people all over the world are fighting over their beliefs when they should just  accept others for having different beliefs.

Too many wars have been started over religion. Religion is supposed to spread peace and caring, not destroy it.

My mom is a Catholic and we still love each other. She goes to church and when she does I just tell her to have a good time or just tell her bye.

I'm fine with her going to church and being a Catholic. In fact, I'm glad that she has something that she believes in that makes her happy.

  24. Honestly, NO.

I really want to, I do. I pray every night... but I've stopped believing. It's like Santa Claus, you WANT to believe he's real, but at the end of the day he's not and it's just your parents planting presents under the tree each Christmas Eve.

I am being raised a Christian and go to Bible Study every Sunday, but I really have a hard time believing in him.

I stopped believing when my dad was sentenced to 5+ years in jail for "committing" white-collar crimes he didn't commit. I am 100% sure he would never scam someone out of their money for his own personal gain. He gives SO much away to charities and to the helpless! Newspapers also say he cheated on my mom which I found SO hard to believe. He is a good, honest man who I love very very much.

I know I will get a lot of thumbs down, but I'm just stating my opinion so... BRING ON THE THUMBS DOWNS !!! =D

  27. No, I dont believe on god 1 little bit, the way I see it is that the whole concept of religion is because of being afraid to die, and besides holy texts i,e the bible 4get quite a few things like umm.... the dinosaurs

  28. I wouldn't have it any other way! God is the best thing that ever happened to me!

  29. Yes, I do.

    I'm a christian.

  30. Yup-a-roo.

Oh, I forgot this was one of the questions where if you don't agree with me I get a thumbs down and if you do then I get a thumbs up.  That, my friends, is called limiting freedom of religion.

Oh, and I noticed there were more people giving thumbs down than thumbs up.  WTF?!

  31. Yes.
