Teens: Does anyone else not believe people when the compliment you?

I seem to almost never believe other teens when they compliment me. And it's not even a self-esteem thing, I just don't believe that peoples' compliments are genuine anymore. It seems that people (girls especially) just dish out random compliments to everyone so getting "compliments" seems fake to me. Is anyone else like this?

I'm not like that at all. I gladly take in compliments, they help boost my confidence and I give other people compliments back. I wouldn't compliment people if the compliment wasn't true, unless I was being sarcastic.

it depends on whos comlimenting me.  like if i know a girl is always acting fake i dont beleive her.  but i just try to accept the compliments because what if they are genuine.

No, I just take it and smile. You don't have to take it seriously its still nice to get compliments. If a lot of people compliment on the same thing perhaps it is genuine, why doubt it if its good?
