Teens what are your feelings on abortions?

I was wondering how most teens feel about abortion. I think abortion is fine if you got pregnant as a result of a rape. Also if you're a young teen and got pregnant i think it is fine as long as you have learned your lesson and will not have s*x until you are married. If you are an adult and you decided to have unprotected s*x and became pregnant even if you didn't want to be i don't think you should have an abortion because it was your own stupidity to not use protection.

I feel abortion is too often used as a form of contraception nowadays which is totally wrong.  In some cases I think it is okay, such as rapes and young pregnancies as you said yourself.

I don't know what to think about abortions. I have different opinions on different terms;

A woman getting raped and pregnant is never her fault. She was not looking forward to the responsibilities and the suffering. That's when I think an abortion is intentional.

If a woman had unprotected s*x and is aware of the consequences and gets pregnant then an abortion should be unnecessary. They should not just kill a baby and not give it a chance in life if there is a mother and a father that can take responsibility.

abortion is wrong  in most cases except rape if your young and just got curious and did the nasty and as a result u got pregnant u need to keep and raise the baby. thats how i fell about abortion

I believe, that as long as the pregnancy would not cause harm to the mother or unborn child, that the child deserves the best life attainable without suffering from his/her mother's mistake. I am pro-life. Please do not thumbs me down based on my beliefs. That shows a lack of maturity and class.

idk, i mean people say 'you dun't have the right to tell people what they cant do with their own body but, the think is your not dealing with just her body. there's a second person involved, the child. No matter what the baby should not have deal with your mistakes.

During the first trimester I don't think it's right but at the same time I don't think it should be illegal because everyone has different opinions. Because like, I can sorta understand if a girl gets an abortion because she is raped, but if it were illegal except for cases like that, then it's contradicting because if abortion were murder then it should be wrong to kill the rape baby too. So I think giving someone 12 weeks to think about it is good enough. After the first trimester however, I don't agree with it at all. At that point it's more developed and I can't possibly see myself thinking it's acceptable. Sorry if I'm offending anyone, this is just my opinion.

I personally think that if you decide to open your legs, then you can also decide to deal with the consequences. Personal situation, im 16 and pregnant and it wasn't planned, but i chose to do what i did and now i can live with it. Plus if a person isn't able to handle a child, adoption is great for parents who can't have their own children.

I have mixed feelings on abortion. I think if you were raped you have a right to an abortion, i also think if your child has a mental illness ie: downs that you have a right to one as well. It is tragic, but at the same time you know that, that child would have a horrible life. I also knew a girl who I reccomended get an abortion because her I knew her and her alcoholic/abusive husband. and i knew that baby would live through h**l. I don't agree with it if you were stupid, at any age, and got yourself pregnant. I would never do it personally and i think it's wrong and sad, but i believe you have a right to it if you wish. I also think if abortion was outlawed women would resort to home abortions and there would be a lot more child deaths in homes and such...

i, as a teen(16 yrs old), think abortion should be pro-choice, especially 4 the teens. there's enough w/ school and reationships and futures with these girls that the last thing they need to worry about is having a child to take care of

I feel that it is never acceptable to end an unborn child's life.  The product of a rape is still a child.  A young teen's "zygote" is a CHILD.  

Most abortions are a matter of convenience, and that pains me.  

I could go on forever but it's difficult to give my views via a keyboard.

I believe abortion is inexcusable.

My mother is Pro-Choice and my father is Pro-Life so I'm kinda undecided.

I always thought that (like you said) if you were young and got raped you should be able to get an abortion because it would be unbearable to go through that for nine long months-that is if you don't keep the baby.

But if you were just careless and had s*x without protection and you get pregnant, you don't deserve to take the easy way out and get an abortion.

I think its wrong but if one of my friends had one I would be mad at first, but I'd understand.

I didn't take the coward's way out and have an abortion.  Abortion is sick.  If a girl/woman makes the decision to open her legs then she should have to deal with the consequences.  Why should an innocent life that didn't ask to be created be ended so suddenly?  That's disgusting.  Any way you look at it, it's KILLING a human life.

i believe that abortion is a type of murder, teens should know that if they are going to have s*x that it may end up in a pregnancy. That is why teens should take the responsiblility of waiting until they are married to have s*x. If the pregnancy is by rape then the teen should still have the child and give it up to adoption or keep it (if they are responsible). But if that teen (that had been raped) had a chance of dying if they had that baby or if they were too young, then maybe they should have the abortion. But i truly think abortion is a sad and serious thing.

I hate it! It's wrong on so many different levels.

I got my ex pregnant when we were fourteen. She wanted an abortion but I talked her out of it. She stayed for about two months, and then left my daughter and I. My daughter is now 14 months old, and if my ex had gotten an abortion...I don't know what my life would be like right now.

Sorry, but that argument has never made sense to me.  If you truly feel that abortion is murder, then it is still murder even if the child was the result of rape or incest.  But I guess it comes down to whether or not it was the mother's "fault" that she got pregnant.  So in reality, we aren't so much concerned with whether or not abortion is murder, but more that we punish the young woman for having premarital s*x, right?

I think whether a girl or woman chooses to have an abortion is really nobody's business but her own.  Everyone's situation is different, and what is right for one woman might not be right for the next.

Um, I think that if it's a rape baby, incest, or will be harmful to the mother, then it's probably a good idea. I like the idea of adoption better if it's just an accident. But I haven't been in that position, so I can't say for certain what I would do!

Really, since I haven't been there, I can't judge the people who decide to have an abortion. I think that you have to do what's right for you- and you are the best person to decide what that is!

I feel that no kind of abortion is right abortion. Common sense and self control can prevent you from having s*x, and if you have negative consequenceses, that's you and your partners fault. Abortion is taking someone's unborn life, and that's not fair.....rape's a different story.

While I probably wouldn't abort my own. I think rape is a different story, where you may feel you have to abort it.
