Teerasil Dangda aiming to lead Thailand into the 2014 World Cup finals- Asian News
Former Manchester City striker Teerasil Dangda has revealed his desire of leading http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thailand-c3020 into the 2014 World Cup finals. The player is currently having an impressive time in Thailand, playing for Muangthong United, and hopes to perform even better for
his country.
Dangda reckons that his time in Europe helped him a lot in improving his skills despite not being a regular for the current Premier League leaders, Manchester City. He thought that the training sessions in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 alongside some big name players helped him
with his confidence, which he would like to utilise during the ongoing World Cup qualifiers.
The striker also wished to achieve silverware with his club for the third consecutive time, having previously won the Thai Premier League in 2009 and 2010. Dangda has also won the Kor http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Cup with Muangthong United in 2010. The Thai international was also
the part of Muangthong United in 2007 when the club went on to win the Division 2 title.
While talking to reporters of his European experience, the 23-year-old further enthused:
"The time at City was helpful for me as I gained valuable experiences. It helped me step up from the amateur level to the professional level.”
He also mentioned, "It broadened my vision and I learned the importance of having the right attitude to further improve myself. Most importantly, it helped me make up my mind to continue my football career. When I came back to Thailand, I knew I just had
to play my best football and no longer think about how young I was."
Since landing at Yamaha Stadium in 2009, the striker has had an outstanding time in Thailand, playing for both the club and his country. The player so far has 30 league goals under his belt from 76 appearances.
The former Raj Pracha man earned his Thailand debut in 2007 and so far has 40 international caps to his name, bagging 19 goals in return.
Dangda, during his stay in England, was unable to make any appearance for Manchester City and spent the whole season on-loan with Grasshopper, failing to appear for the Swiss club, too.
