Question:

Teeth right ontop of each other?

OKay, so I had a finger spring retainer for a little over a year to correct my under bite. It was fixed to the point where my bite was perfect they said. Now, I have braces and my top teeth are exactly aligned with the bottom, maybe a little bit over the bottoms. So is it okay if my top and bottom front teeth touch almost exactly, or will I need a retainer again? If it does need to be corrected, will braces do that or rubber bands? Please help.

Thanks

  1. my teeth are like that and the orthodontist told me that was a good thing.  Cause they dont have to fix my bite, and that is how your bite is  supposed to be.

  2. yes as far as I know that's good

  3. The whole procedure of braces is nothing but movement of teeth. A finger spring can only push the teeth to an extent. So from an underbite you have reached an edge to edge bite. Now you are on braces and this will get your teeth to move out . The  bands will pull the teeth and braces hold them in the new place and you will have the desired smile in no time !!
