Teeth whitening with braces?

I need an at home, inexpensive, way to whiten my teeth (and to prevent future stains) with braces on for my 12 year old sister (I don't have braces, and she's panicking). The process CAN take up to a max of about 5 weeks, but the sooner the better!!!

DO NOT whiten with braces. You will have blocks of yellow where your brackets were when you get your braces off. Wait until after the braces are off before you whiten your teeth. You don't want the embarrassment of multi color teeth when the braces come off.

You shouldn't use any thing to whiten your teeth with braces. Just clean them thoroughly and nicely. You don't need to whiten them because when you take them off they'll be different colors and you cannot fix the stains. I'd rather have them yellow when they come off than two different colors that I can't fix.
