My son has started to really teeth, his drooling has become unreal already...but my question is, can teething cause an upset stomach or more than usual spit ups? It's just been the last couple days that he's been spitting up alot. Could this be because of his teething??

  1. I hope so, because my daughter is doing the same thing.  She never really spit up before and all of a sudden she is spitting up.  I think she is teething. Drooling, but happy!

  2. They swallow so much drool that it can interfere with eating and cause spitup. If it lasts more than a couple of days, then call the dr. and ask about it.

  3. he's starting to eat solid foods, so something could have upset his belly.  cut back on the new foods you introduce.  follow up with the pediatrician.

  4. my daughter is teething a lot too no teeth yet i am wondering if she will ever have teeth haha but yeah she has been spitting up more then usual. i feel so bad for her i think it would make there stomach hurt have you ever had your wisdom teeth come in. imagine them going through that pain. :(  tylenol helps a little and chewing on cold wet rags and my husband picked up some popsicles that are all natural and sugar free she loves them! good luck!

  5. Yes, teething can cause an upset stomach. If you notice his spit now it is much thicker than before and that lays in his stomach. Don't give him any tylenol for the teething pain though, that will make it worse. If it seems that his gums hurt, freeze a clean washcloth so that he can gum it. As it thaws a little, it will also clean his face up. Do not let him take it to bed though. Good luck!

  6. Yes. My son spit up a lot and had sevvveral dirty diapers right before his first two teeth broke through. :(
