Teething question...?

My son is 7 months. He has been out of control fussy for the past 4 or 5 days. (refusing to eat solids, weird napping from not at all to all day, and then being unconsolable in between it all) He is never like this normally. I keep checking to feel for teeth and expect to feel something sharp but now I am not so sure. I can see faint lines on his bottom gums like the bottom front teeth and one side is slightly raised. He has always been a chewer so that isnt an indication for us. He seemed to have a slight fever the other day so I gave him tylenol and he seemed so relieved he passed out. Do you think he is teething or another false alarm?

  1. Def. teething, when my son is about to cut a new tooth his gums will raise up and you can see a white line underneith the skin. My son cut his frist 2 teeth when he was 6mths. old so yoru son is def. in the right age group. We give our son teething tablets they work great. Good luck

  2. Teething!  For sure.  Poor baby.  Give him Tylenol before bed if he needs it to help him get some rest.

  3. yes, he is teething.  You may try some baby oragel or we used an all natural baby pill for teething - it didn't make his gums itch nor was 1/2 his mouth numb from the oragel.

  4. sounds like teething, my 5 month old is acting the same.. however her 2 bottom teeth just came in! get some teething tablets, and chill some teething rings!

  5. Oh yes he is teething..get some Hylands Teething Tablets from Walgreens...they are Miracle Workers!
