Tej .....?

does anyone know what it is? i know its some kind of alcoholic beverage, but i see it written everywhere and it has nothing to do with the drink. i've seen it where i live and when i was in italy.

yes...all the things written by the other person are true....

the only thing I can add is that...i'm sure this word is used a lot in Piemonte...in fact you can find a lot of bed and breakfast called "u tej"...

It's a honey wine from Ethiopia.

Tej or "u tej" is tiglio or linden. A term used in Piemonte (I think).
