Telephone adverts?

We keep getting adverts on our home phone. The phone will ring and when you pick it up the advert starts. How can we get rid of them as they are really annoying ones about debt management and stuff? Thanks x

Register your phone(s) on the government do not call list.

the URL is donotcall.gov  too much work to make this a link so you can just type it in the Yahoo search bar.

i am sure if you phone BT they can put a block on these type of calls
