Telephone tension?

It's my first time to work in the office, handling telephone calls and transfering one call to another makes me feel nervous. What will i do?

  1. don't worry about incoming calls OK then keep the telephone

    ringing volume very low ( if you want hear) and answer all the

    phone with out any tension as u shal(us ushal)


  2. nothing to worry be soft spoken and then keep transferring the calls after putting the incoming call on hold

    why to get nervous after all no one is going to eat you...you are helping them connected....be cheerful and do what they say.

  3. Just let the phone ring. I find that it stops after a while.

    This seems to be the technique used by many public inquiry offices, hotlines, after sales services etc.

    A new twist is now in vogue:  the said services are now on premium rate lines. The phone is "picked up"  almost immediately by a machine telling you to hang on. In the meantime you are charged 0.34 eurocents (that's about 50 US cents) a minute while waiting for someone to pick up the phone.

  4. as this is your first time to work in the office, your nervousness is only natural; it will be gone in 3-4 days.

    just be courteous always in answering the calls.
