Telephone via my computer.

Question

The telephone attached to my computer is showing "Range Out".

What does it mean? If I call the number from another phone it rings out but that is all, can't hear any speech. There is no dialling tone either.

Have you installed the phone.

Check the settings and wires.

Check the connections and check the speakers are working.

Might be some wire loose.

Make sure that the phone lines are plugged in all the way, and that you have them plugged into the right spots in your computer. For example, the wall jack going into the Input, and the phone going to the Output.
