Telephones : What's happening when the phone calls and on the screen we see the message "WITHHELD" ?

Is it possible that someone calls yopu with a secret number or it's the phone himself who is overloaded ?

I usually forget to take him out of the recharger: It's a Dect telephone (for the house, not mobile).

it means whoever is calling you doesn't want you to see their number.  either a telemarketer or a "secret admirer" aka stalker lol

It means what it says.

In other words the caller has opted to withhold their number from being visible to you.This can be done on a permanent basis or per call by dialling 141 before the number.

Either way, you will not see the calling number-whether you wish to answer the call is up to you!
