Telescope stamps authority in At The Races Sky 415 Conditions Stakes – Horseracing news
Telescope stormed to a magnificent victory on his return in the At The Races Sky 415 Conditions Stakes (Class 3) in England on Thursday, July 18, 2013. He was rated as the favourite to succeed and did not disappoint his fans at
all.
The young challenger was out of action for quite some time and it appeared that he would not be able to take part in any race during this season. However, he managed to recover from the setback he suffered last season and showed
that he was even a better runner this time.
The Irish stallion was odd on favourite for the event and it was expected that no one would cause problems for him in the race. Despite that, some of the punters gambled on a couple of other participants, who were attracted towards
the competition. The decision proved to be a completely terrible one, as the favourite horse did not allow any of his rivals to come closer to him.
Telescope was in the lead right from the start of the race until the very end. He was quick out of the blocks and made sure that no one came anywhere closer to him in the opening phases. Afterwards, he kept on increasing his speed
and created a huge gap over his rivals, which was never going to be bridged until something unfortunate happened to the leader.
In the end, the returning stallion won the race by a massive margin of 24 lengths, proving his dominance over his rivals. The margin of victory proved that he can now take on the best in the business at the highest level of the
sport.
The winning trainer Sir Michael Stoute said, “It will get tougher for him, that's for sure, but he's done nothing wrong on a racecourse. It's been frustrating, especially for connections but hopefully we can get on our way now.”
He added, “We've got quite a few possibilities, we'll go home and see how he comes out of it and make a plan in a week's time. He's had a good workout and that's the main thing.”
This was overall just the third appearance for Telescope and he has already won two races.
