Television series “The Franchise” will exhibit Miami Marlins’ operations – MLB News
Starting from Wednesday, a television series titled “The Franchise” will display the generally unnoticed operations about the Miami Marlins.
Meanwhile, productions executive producer at Major League Baseball namely David Gavant talks of the stories they have filmed about the stadium and about the operations carried out by the club.
He is extremely pleased with the way he, along with his crew, was treated by the Marlins. While they performed activities there, he stated that they faced little trouble in collecting information.
Furthermore, Gavant elaborates that the managerial staff was co-operative and was permitting them to access any place they wanted, in order to make their television show worthwhile.
The purpose of the series is to unveil certain things about the club which cannot be observed during the games. Scores of fans across the country get to see only what is available on the television screen while the match goes on, whereas multitude of other
things are not sighted in the process.
In light of this, the show is going to attract vast audience, which entertains fascination about how behind-the-scenes activities are performed by the Marlins.
Furthermore, the opening of a new ballpark by the Marlins before start of this season will add to the excitements of the fans. An intrigue about what makes the park one of the most talked-about topics will be instigating them.
Meanwhile, Marlins’ president David Samson seconds the statement given by Gavant. He confirms that as far as co-operation with the staff that came to film the Miami Marlins is concerned, they presented everything before them and put no restrictions on their
actions.
“We promised to give them access to everything, and we’ve delivered that. They’re everywhere we are,” he said. “They were there when we traded for Carlos Lee. They’re there when we send players down. They are there when we talk about players, off the field
and on the field. When they asked to do the Marlins, I don’t think they had any idea what they were in for. I feel badly for next year’s team.”
As the show telecasts few serials, it will be known as to how far it has gone in covering every aspect of the Marlins.
