  1. U-SEE (Unlimited Saving of Electrical Energy) is a World Bank honoured innovative grassroots level initiative for preserving natural resources proposed for India Development Marketplace 2007.

Visit http://dmblog.worldbank.org/mirrors-can-... and see the World Bank Report on this initiative

This  methodlogy is neither based on hi-technology nor does it require billions but is very simple to implement and can ensure saving of billions of electricity units being misused during day time when the sun is shining.

U-SEE, the idea is BRING HOME THE SUNSHINE and save that much of electricity to back up the energy for other real necessities in the world.

The World Bank recognised this as an initiative that can be replicated the world over by millions of households, business houses, educational insitutions, government offices who are burning electricity produced at high costs and depleting our natural resources like water, coal etc.  There should be a limit for man's callous attitude towards nature, whose resources are not inifinite. For more details mail: vkumar_m@yahoo.com.  This is not a commercial proposition.  I am a senior citizen in Bangalore, India and would like to ensure some electrical energy remains for my three grand daughters through U-SEE method

  2. Renewable resources are the sources that can be recycled or reused by any treatment or even without any treatment. Example is paper.

Non renewable resources are the sources that cannot be recycled or reused. Example is fossil fuels.

  3. All forms of energy are stored in different ways, in the energy sources that we use every day.  These sources are divided into two groups -- renewable (an energy source that can be replenished in a short period of time) and nonrenewable (an energy source that we are using up and cannot recreate in a short period of time). Renewable and nonrenewable energy sources can be used to produce secondary energy sources including electricity and hydrogen.

Renewable energy sources include solar energy, which comes from the sun and can be turned into electricity and heat.  Wind, geothermal energy from inside the earth, biomass from plants, and hydropower and ocean energy from water are also renewable energy sources.

However, we get most of our energy from nonrenewable energy sources, which include the fossil fuels -- oil, natural gas, and coal.  They're called fossil fuels because they were formed over millions and millions of years by the action of heat from the Earth's core and pressure from rock and soil on the remains (or "fossils") of dead plants and animals.  Another nonrenewable energy source is the element uranium, whose atoms we split (through a process called nuclear fission) to create heat and ultimately electricity.    These energy sources are considered nonrenewable because they can not be replenished (made again) in a short period of time.  Renewable energy sources can be replenished naturally in a short period of time.

  4. Water is a renewable resource, here is a look at what is a topic in need of your voice, you can make a difference,

Get on board with recent proposals and speak up. Recycled water, when you consider the Green Building move think of the amount of recycled materials there are, such as Plastic, paper, wood, carpet and steel. What we clearly overlooked is the water based products that are used to construct the Green Building: a) Paint, Paint is made with at least 30% drinking water, This is a candidate for replacing with Recycled water. b) How about Simple Green, used in everyday cleaning of a Green Building, simply put, it is 75% Drinking water, another candidate for recycled water c) how about the Vehicles transporting goods every day, everywhere. Anti Freeze is 60% drinking water. The collective savings in these type products represent 1/2 a billion gallons a year of drinking water. This is one of the most precious renewable natural resources we have. Yet, we have failed to integrate it into the main stream of commodity products.

Recycled water quality is monitored and managed by Federal Water quality standards, it has been used for decades to irrigate edible food crops. Make a difference, voice your demands for efficient use of recycled water as a school project and net-work with other schools to move the industrial consumers to do so. It's quite simple, If we don't speak up, they will keep the spigot open until it's too late.   Edward Mugits, please read this articale:

  7. .............

  8. the correct one is renewable REsources!!!!!!!

resources which can be filled up again coressponding to their consumption are called renewable sources.the oppposite are non renewable resources..

examples of renewable sourses are solar resource, wood paper oxygen fresh water etc.

one important thing no resource in universe in renewable. the examples are so called becausethey r available in abundant!

    uses:----

    they will never dry up

    present in plenty

    very less probability of extinction...

  9. Renewable sources are able to be made as much as needed. For example Trees are a renewable source b/c we can just plant more. Non renewable sources are when a source cannot be reproduced when gone. Like a gas.

  10. If you go to school ask your science teacher

  11. Renewable resources are the sources that can be recycled or reused by any treatment or even without any treatment.Renewable power resources are those which take less time to replenish. Example is paper, tree

Non renewable resources are the sources that cannot be recycled or reused.Or the resources that take a longer time to regenerate(millions of year). Example is fossil fuels.

  12. A "renewable resource" is something that we use to make everyday products that is replaced faster than we use it up.  A "non-renewable resource" is something that we use to make everyday products that is replaced much more slowly than we consume it.

Solar energy is considered a renewable source of energy because no matter how much energy we use from the sun, it will continue to shine just as it did before.  Trees are often considered a renewable resource, but that is only true in certain circumstances.  If a forest is well managed, than the trees can grow back faster than we cut them down.  However, in many parts of the world (including in the US), forests are being cut much much faster than they regrow, and this is therefore not considered renewable.

A good example of a non-renewable resource oil. It is used to make gasoline and other fuels, as well as plastics, such as plastic grocery bags.  We are using billions of gallons of oil every year, but it takes millions of years to be replace.  We are using up oil much much faster than it is being produced.  Once we use up oil from the earth, more will not be generated for a LONG time

  13. Renewable resources are forms of energy or products that will replenish over a short period of time. They include sunlight, wind and water. All three of these can be used as a clean power source of unlimited supply. Non renewable include petroleum, coal, and natural gas. These take millions of years to produce. They burn messily and pollute they are also expensive and spike our economy. We lack current technology that can run cars on renewable resource except possibly solar ( I don't know about cars so correct me if I'm wrong

  14. simple! renewable sources are resources that provide energy all the time without end.Non-renewable sources are resources that provide energy only for a certain period of time. For example, the energies like solar energy, wind energy,hydro-electric power etc come from sun,air and water respectively. Here, the sun,air and water are said to be the renewable sources as these sources can give energy all the time. But the lignite which gives thermal energy is said to be a non-renewable source as it can give energy for a certain period of time only up to their own existence.
