  7. as a child in northern Illinois I was in a tornado.  Lots of damage.  Our home was moved off its foundation, but nothing else.

I've been in several tornadoes since then too.

In 1999, I was playing the piano for graduation and the tornado whistle sound, lights went out in the school and everyone went to the storm shelter.  Tornado touched down south of town in a field.  Continued with graduation in the dark.  How cool!!

As a traveling nurse I was caught in the flash flood waters on my way to someone's home.  Made it through before being swept into a field.

Today we are under another flash flood warning for low lying areas.  We've had tornado warnings every day for the last 4 days.  Large hail and high winds.
